Community Outreach

Do you know that For Otis Sake rescues nationally but serves locally?

In addition to our rescue efforts, we are also committed to improving the community we serve through the following special programs:

· Discounted adoption rates for veterans and senior citizens

· Support for Hospice patients and their pets

· Support for shelter to service dog programs

· Opportunities for kids/teens to give back through our soon to be launched Kids Up! Program

Check out some of our recent events where we were out and about, spreading the word about For Otis Sake Rescue and our programs!

Homewood Strawberry Fest

Every once in a while you meet someone who has a heart of gold and wants to give back.  Someone who takes it upon themselves to organize a fundraiser for you without you asking.  Someone who is so extremely talented that you can't believe she chose your organization as the one to support.

We had the opportunity to work this lovely lady who decided it was her goal to make handmade, dog-themed items to sell at the recent Homewood Strawberry Festival.  What a talented seamstress she is... and her talents paid off, and paid off BIG.  She raised over $900 for our rescue!

Thank you Sandra!  Supporters like you help us continue in our mission to rescue, rehab and rehome at-risk dogs.

Our boy Blue had a guest appearance on Good Morning Washington's Kidd Around Town segment for the 2018 Mid-Maryland Petapalooza event!

QuarterMania Quarter Auction

The FOS team hosted a very successful Quarter Auction on March 18th at the Morris Frock American Legion Hall. We had a great group of attendees and vendors AND we surprised everyone with some of our special canine friends!
